New BMW Sub-brand To Be Called "i", First Models Arrive In 2013

Today in Munich at the company’s museum, BMW announced the new eco sub-brand “i”, that will be launched in 2013. The initial line-up will include two models, the i3(MegaCity) and i8(Vision EfficientDynamics).

Details about these two models are very limited, but we do know that both models will be built at the Leipzig plant, featuring an aluminium chassis and a carbon fibre-reinforced plastic passenger cell.
