BMW has unveiled the new 7 Series saloon with an evolutionary exterior design, featuring a familiar front fascia with a prominent twin kidney grille that is flanked by standard LED headlights or optional Laser light headlights.
There are also LED fog lights, front fender vents, chrome trim, L-shaped taillights and a range of wheels ranging from 17- to 21-inches.
Both standard and long-wheelbase variants will be offered, with the latter model is 14cm longer, than the standard model, offering a spacious rear passenger compartment.
For extra luxury, the long-wheelbase variant can be ordered with an Executive Lounge package, featuring a four-zone automatic climate control system, ventilated seats and power rear seats with a massage function.
There is also an Executive Lounge rear console which houses a fold out table, cup holders and a 7-inch Touch Command tablet.
Model range includes following engines:
A 750i xDrive / 750Li xDrive powered by a 4.4-litre TwinPower Turbo V8 engine with 450 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, enabling the model to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 4.4 seconds, before hitting a limited top speed of 155 mph.
The 740i / 740Li uses a 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine with 326 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, taking the big saloon from 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds, while the top speed is 155 mph.
A 730d / 730Ld / 730d xDrive / 730Ld xDrive all come with a 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder diesel engine producing 265 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque, good for a 0-62mph time of 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.
A new BMW 740e / 740Le / 740Le xDrive plug-in hybrid is powered by a 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine and a 70 kW electric motor getting its juice from a lithium-ion battery.
Combined power output is 326 hp and 0-62mph comes in 5.5 seconds, while the top speed is 149mph.
Average fuel economy is a very impressive 134.5mpg and range in purely EV mode up to 25 miles at speeds up to 75mph.
