Here we have the latest spy shots of the next-generation BMW M3 (F80). For the first time the prototype has the power dome on the bonnet. The exhaust pipes seem to be bigger and wider than on the current M3. The front is still heavily disguised, hiding larger air intakes and revised front bumper.
New M3 will be lighter, faster, more efficient and more powerful than the current M3. The naturally aspirated V8 will be replaced with a new turbocharged inline-six, that is expected to have two or three turbos and develop around 450bhp.
Both manual and automatic transmissions will be offered.
The development seems to be at final stages so we would not be surprised to see it debut either at the Paris Motor Show or at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this year.
