MINI John Cooper Works GP Revealed, Priced From £28,790 [VIDEO]

The MINI John Cooper Works GP is the sportiest and fastest production model ever built by MINI. Its production will start later this year and just 2,000 units will be built. All cars will be two-seaters, painted in Thunder Grey Metallic featuring model-specific alloys and badges.

Powered by a modified 218bhp 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo engine mated to a six-speed manual, the high-performance JCW GP also features adjustable coilover suspension and sports brake system.

0-62mph comes in 6.3sec and the top speed is 150mph. Recently the MINI John Cooper Works GP lapped he notorious Nürburgring Norschleife in just 8:23 minutes. That’s 18 seconds off its predecessor’s best lap time.

Inside reveals Recaro sports seats with special GP stitching, leather steering wheel, gearshift knob with chrome ring, anthracite roof liner, the piano black interior surfaces and door grips.

In UK the John Cooper Works GP will cost £28,790.
