MINI Countryman with Off-Road Design Heading to Dakar Rally

MINI has revealed Countryman vehicles with off-road design, which are heading to 2013 Dakar Rally as service vehicles to support the X-Raid Team.

The service vehicles which will accompany the X-Raid Team over the full rally distance of more than 8,000 kilometres (roughly 5,000 miles) through Peru, Argentina and Chile will be equipped with the off-road design package from the Original MINI Accessories range.

The off-road design package consist of silver-coloured add-on parts for the front and rear apron and side skirts. To improve the off road capabilities, the service vehicles also have an increased ride height and off-road tyres.

The Dakar Rally starts on January 5th and the X-raid Team will defend their title with the MINI ALL4 Racing.
