Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster - First Official Images

Mercedes-Benz has released first official images of the upcoming SLS AMG Roadster, ahead of its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

The images show a prototype with some camouflage over its lights and logos – similar to our previuos spy photos.

The SLS AMG Roadster features a soft-top roof, that can be opened or closed in 11 seconds at speeds of up to 31 mph.Gone are the gullwing doors, and because of added structural reinforcements it weighs just 2kg more than the coupe. Under the bonnet is the same hand-built 563bhp 6.2 litre V8 as in the coupe, enabling it to reach 60mph in around 4.0 seconds.
