Mercedes S-Class Coupe caught testing on the Nürburgring

The Mercedes S-Class Coupe has been caught again, this time undergoing testing on the extreme Nürburgring race track. The camouflage has not changed compared to our previous spy shots.

The S-Class Coupe is likely to follow very similar styling found on the new S-Class saloon.

Replacing the CL, the S-Class Coupe features a lower roofline, door mounted mirrors, narrower rear lights, single bar grille and slender headlights. Overall look seems sportier compared to the outgoing model.

Engine options will be similar to the recently revealed S-Class saloon, meaning we will get the 4.7-litre V8 with 455 hp in the S500 variant, while top of the range models will use a V12 and twin-turbo V8.

The S-Class Coupe is expected to debut in the first half of 2014 – very likely in Geneva or Shanghai Motor Show.
