Mercedes GL63 AMG Revealed, Sales Start In Early 2013

The new 2013 Mercedes GL63 AMG is a first ever AMG-induced version of the full-sized GL-Class SUV. Power comes from AMG’s 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine that produces 557hp and 560lb-ft of torque. The power is sent to the wheels via AMG Speedshift 7-Speed automatic transmission and the permanent all-wheel-drive system.

0-62mph comes in an impressive in 4.9 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 155mph. Visually this high-performance version is distinguished by larger air intakes on the front fascia and quad-exhausts on the rear.

The new Mercedes GL63 AMG will launch in the UK in 2013. Pricing is still to be confirmed, but it is expected to be over £90k.
