Mercedes CLA prototype

A pair of Mercedes-Benz CLA prototypes have been caught testing around the famous Nürburgring. The CLA was first previewed by Concept Style Coupe at the Beijing Motor Show earlier this year and as you can see is also heavily influenced by the bigger CLS.

The CLA four-door coupe rides on the MFA platform (new A-Class) and engine options will include a wide range of diesel and petrol units found in the A- and B-Class. In case an AMG version arrives it will most likely feature the same 2.0-litre petrol turbo with around 330bhp as found in the upcoming A 45 AMG.

The CLA will be built in Kecskemét, Hungary. Market launch is sometime next year with prices expected to start from £25,000.
