Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series Crashes on the Nürburgring and Burns to the Ground
Just yesterday we showed you the upcoming Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series with less disguise testing near the Nürburgring.
Today while testing on the Nürburgring race track, the SLS AMG Black Series prototype got into an accident and was soon on fire.
The E-Unit rescue team and the ambulance arrived within minutes to help these AMG test drivers who according to our photographer were uninjured.
The accident happened on the Nordschleife at the part called “Döttinger Höhe”, a long straight about 2,5km long where a supercar like the SLS AMG Black Series can reach speeds close to 180mph.
This is not the first time AMG engineers crash a prototype on the Nürburgring. Just month ago they crashed the A45 AMG prototype at speeds over 100mph, when it came out of the Fuchsröhre, and then crashed into the right guardrail. You can see the pictures of that crash here.
