Mercedes-Benz GLA Spied Winter Testing

Mercedes-Benz GLA Small SUV/Crossover has been caught again, this time testing near the Arctic Circle in Sweden.

Based on the new MFA modular platform that also underpins the new A-Class and recently unveiled CLA, the compact GLA will be offered in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions.

Engine range is expected to carry over form the new A-Class, while the top of the range GLA 45 AMG will get a 4-cylinder 2.0-litre turbo engine producing around 350bhp and more than 295 lb-ft of torque. This small but powerful engine will be mated to a 7-speed double-clutch gearbox and standard 4MATIC all-whell drive system.
