Mercedes CLA Breaks Cover Ahead of Detroit Debut

First official pictures of the Mercedes CLA have leaked to the web ahead of its public debut at next month’s Detroit Auto Show.

The baby CLS is based on the new A Class and is about 4.60 metres long and will be offered from launch with three petrol and one diesel engine. A range topping CLA 45 AMG will follow later with up to 350 bhp.

Mercedes has already confirmed that the hot AMG variant will get the 7G-DCT transmission and a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

The new 4MATIC will be available also in the standard CLA, though not with all engine options.
