Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Prototype Spotted In Northern Sweden

As we have reported before, Mercedes will also launch a C63 AMG Black Series of the new C-Class in addition to the regular C63 AMG variant.

The high-performance C63 AMG Black Series saloon prototype was spotted earlier today in Sweden with temporary wider fenders and a different bonnet giving it away from the standard model.

The production model will also get a new front spoiler and a new rear diffuser in addition to wider fenders and a different bonnet. Nothing is official about the powertrain, but most likely a new 5.5 litre twin-turbo V8 with up to 571bhp is under the bonnet, though there are also reports that mention a naturally aspirated 6.2 litre V8 with around 510bhp. Either way it will be blast to drive offering more power than the BMW M3 Coupe or Audi RS5.

The saloon version of the new C63 AMG Black Series will be launched first, followed by a coupe soon after.
