Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo concept revealed for Gran Turismo 6

The new upcoming Gran Turismo 6 just got even more exciting with the unveiling of a Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo.

Created for the popular gaming series, the virtual concept is also built as a 1:1 scale model, that will be showed at this week’s Los Angeles Auto Show.

The AMG Vision Gran Turismo features gullwing doors, LED radiator grille, long bonnet, flowing lines, compact green house and a dramatic side contour with muscular body shell.

The central star is reminiscent of the legendary 300 SL racing car of 1952 and instead of classic louvres the grille of the show car features exclusively LEDs.

The interior is inspired by the Formula 1 cockpit and comes with red integral sports seats, black flooring of the footwell, while the dashboard is designed in the form of two gullwing doors which are positioned on each side of the steering column.

Power comes from an AMG V8 biturbo with 577bhp and 800Nm of torque. With an aluminium space frame body and components in carbon fibre, the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo tips the scales at only 1385 kilograms.

It is very unlikely we will ever see this concept for the virtual world in production, but wouldn’t it be cool if MB announces that the production model will arrive soon…
