Mercedes-AMG GT teased again, to debut on September 9 [video]

The new Mercedes-AMG GT has been testing for some time and we have also seen few teasers. Mercedes has finally revealed the exact date of its official debut, which is already next week on September 9.

This new teaser does not reveal anything new really, but gives us a quick overview of the development that took place in very hot temperatures and also in extreme cold near the Arctic Circle.

The AMG GT will be powered by a new 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 that is offered from launch with two power states 455bhp and 503bhp, going against the likes of Audi R8 and Porsche 911.

A more powerful Black Series rivalling the 911 Turbo, will follow later packing probably around 550bhp with improved aerodynamics and suspension.

As with the outgoing SLS AMG, we can also expect an open top roadster in 1-2 years time.
