Mercedes-AMG GT is a beautiful luxury sports coupe.
Mercedes-AMG designers and engineers have done an amazing job. Going strongly against the Porsche 911 range and Jaguar F-Type, the new coupe from AMG will be offered with two power outputs from the all-new 4.0-litre twin turbo V8.
The base model packs 456bhp and the GT S 503bhp. A more powerful Black Series is also following soon and hopefully also an open top roadster, just as it was with the discontinued SLS AMG.
There is no official word yet when the AMG GT roadster comes or does it come at all. The renderings here by X-Tomi Design give us a good look how the open top AMG GT Roadster would look like.
Some sources claim there will be no Roadster modification for the new sports coupe as it would jeopardize sales of the already old Mercedes-Benz SL and the upcoming S-Class Convertible.
To really take on the 911 and F-Type, the open top model would be a no brainer to fans like us. We’ll see soon. If the roadster does come, then we should see first prototypes in the near future.
And here’s a video of the AMG GT S at the “Circuif of the Americas”:
