A year ago the McLaren MP4-12C went on sale. Today McLaren has announced its second model – the 616bhp twin-turbo V8 open roofed 12C Spider, that is based on the same carbon fibre monocell chassis as its hardtop sibling.
Details are limited at this point, but the 12C Spider is rumored to feature a folding hard-top not a soft top. More details about the 12C Spider will be released in the next few days.
In the video below Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Racing driver, Jenson Button, reveals the sensations he feels when driving with only the sky above him.
