McLaren Special Operations unveils bespoke 650S model at Goodwood

In late April McLaren showed us a one-off MSO 650S Concept by McLaren Special Operations with bespoke features like newly designed carbon fibre rear diffuser and MSO-branded carbon fibre side blades.

McLaren has now unveiled a production version that will be limited to just 50 examples globally in either a Coupe or Spider bodystyle.

The production model shown here makes its debut, in Spider bodystyle, at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. In addition to MSO 650S, McLaren will also unveil a new track-focused GT-model in Goodwood.

The production MSO 650S features different carbon fibre styling upgrades with a satin finish, including extended MSO Side Blades, while the three-piece rear bumper includes a carbon fibre centre section, and sits above a more aggressive rear diffuser.

The MSO 650S is available in three specially formulated paint finishes:’Papaya Spark’ a modern twist on the famous McLaren Orange, ‘Agrigan Black’ a metallic black with a deep ruby red metallic flake and ‘Sarigan Quartz’ a vibrant metallic silver with a subtle golden infusion that you can here in the gallery.

All this rides on Palladium coloured 10-spoke Super Lightweight alloy wheels, with a unique diamond cut effect to the inside edge of each spoke.

Interior of the MSO 650S reveals carbon black leather and Alcantara, along with satin lacquered carbon fibre detailing.

Power continues to come from a 641bhp 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8, taking both the spider and coupe from 0-62mph in 3.0 seconds on to a top speed of 204mph.

The MSO 650S is priced from £252,500 and from £272,500 for the MSO 650S Spider, with first deliveries end of the year.
