McLaren P1 Supercar Concept - First Details & Pictures

McLaren has released first details and pictures about their P1 concept ahead of Paris debut next week. Details are limited, but in Paris the P1 is previewed as a design study and the production version will be revealed next year with sales starting within 12 months.

The P1 takes much of its technological and spiritual inspiration from the company’s Racing division. As we have reported before that could mean, the P1 will feature 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) for a combined maximum output close to 1000bhp.

‘Our aim is not necessarily to be the fastest in absolute top speed but to be the quickest and most rewarding series production road car on a circuit,’ says McLaren Automotive Managing Director Antony Sheriff.
