McLaren P1 Revealed, Priced From £866,000

McLaren has revealed the P1 hypercar ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week.

The 903bhp petrol-electric powertrain, allows the P1 to reach 0-124mph in less than seven seconds, making it quicker than a Bugatti Veyron Super Sports. 0-62mph comes in less than 3 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited to 217mph.

The 3.8-litre V8 twin-turbo delivers 727bhp and 720Nm of torque, while the electric motor produces another 176bhp and 260Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The P1 can also be driven solely in electric mode, with an average speed of 30 mph, the range is around 12 miles.

Production will be limited to just 375 units, with pricing to start from £866,000, fully equipped as standard for road and track use.
