McLaren Offers All MP4-12C Owners 25HP Increase For Free

McLaren MP4-12C just got some more power. The mid-mounted 3.8-litre V8, twin-turbo engine currently develops 600PS, but from October all MP4-12C owners can upgrade their car to produce 625PS, and all that for free.

McLaren has sent a letter to all current MP4-12C owners, that is signed by Managing Director Antony Sheriff, “The power output of your 12C will increase by 25 PS to a class leading 625 PS. Our development team has re-engineered the mapping of the 12C engine to give your car a performance upgrade with significantly improved responsiveness. The 12C’s remarkable CO2 emissions and fuel efficiency figures are unchanged.”

Other upgrades McLaren offers include remote opening for the passenger door, programmable engine note and an upgraded IRIS infotainment system.
