Maserati Ghibli teased for Shanghai Motor show

Maserati has released the first teaser image, for the Ghibli saloon, which is set to debut later this month at the Shanghai Motor Show.

Details are limited, but the Ghibli is expected to feature a similar design as the bigger Quattroporte, going against the likes of BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E-Class and Audi A6.

The Ghibli is very likely powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 with around 385bhp and a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 with around 480bhp. A 3.0-litre V6 diesel is also rumoured. All engines will be linked to a an eight-speed automatic gearbox, while the all-wheel drive system will be optional.
