Lotus Elise Club Racer Revealed, Priced At £27,500

Lotus Elise Club Racer is 24kg lighter compared to the regular Elise, thanks to lightweight battery and the removal of noise insulation. The Elise Club Racer weighs just 852 kg.

For the first time ever an Elise variant comes with a Dynamic Performance Management, that allows even the less experienced sports car drivers to feel at the top of their game. The system can be witched off completely, in cade a more experienced driver is behind the wheel.

Power comes from the same 134bhp 1.6 litre four cylinder VVT-I engine as on the standard variant. No details were released about performance numbers, which are maybe just a bit better than on the standard Elise, that does 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds.

The Elise Club Racer will make its world debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show, UK prices start at £27,500.
