Lister Cars unveils reborn Knobbly roadster at Autosport International

Lister Cars has unveiled the reborn ‘Knobbly’ racer at Autosport International.

The reborn Knobbly is built to the very same specification as the original 1958 model, using the late Brian Lister’s original drawings and manufacturing jigs.

The reborn Knobbly is powered by a race-prepared Jaguar D-Type 3.8-litre straight-six, producing 330bhp, enough to take the car from 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 181mph.

The new Knobbly meets all relevant FIA racing regulations, allowing owners to compete in a series of Lister historic race meetings planned during 2015.

The initial production run of just 10 cars is already sold out and Lister Cars is considering building a further three individual final edition models, each of which will celebrate the remarkable competition history of the famous ‘Knobbly’.

“With the recent sad passing of our founder Brian Lister, we could not think of a better way to honour his memory than by continuing his legacy.” commented Lister Cars chairman Lawrence Whittaker.
