Lexus RC-F with 460bhp V8 confirmed for Detroit debut

Lexus has been teasing a new F model for some time ahead of its Detroit Auto Show debut next month.

A Lexus invitation to the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) has hit the web now, confirming that the new model is as we already speculated the RC-F with a V8 engine producing 460bhp.

No performance specs were released, but the new RC-F is expected to go from 0-62mph in around 4.3-4.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of around 186mph.

The RC-F is expected to feature a carbon fibre roof, bonnet, trunk link and an FLA-inspired speed sensitive rear spoiler.

Alongside the RC-F the V6 powered RC will be on display as well.
