Lexus RC F GT3 Racing Concept to race next year, packs over 540bhp

Lexus RC F made its debut last month at the Detroit Auto Show with 454bhp from a naturally aspirated V8, going against the BMW M4.

A modified GT3 Racing Concept based on the road going RC F has been revealed in Geneva, previewing closely a new GT3-compliant vehicle that will race already next year on races globally, such as the 24 Hours of Nürburgring endurance race in Germany and the Super Taikyu Endurance and Super GT series in Japan.

The modified 5.0-litre V8 engine is modified to produce more than 540bhp and the vehicle weighs 1250kg.

The race spec RC F GT3 also features a new aerodynamic body kit that includes a front splitter, modified bumpers, extended side skirts, new mirrors, a huge rear wing and a rear diffuser.

The development continues and the testing starts very soon with first teams receiving their cars in 2015.
