Le Mans Series Safety Car Causes A Big Chaos [VIDEO]

There was pure chaos at the start of the 2011 Le Mans season this past weekend at the Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track. After a warm up lap the Audi RS5 safety car failed to leave the track and caused a huge pileup.

The lights went green and the LMP1 cars right behind the safety car were able to see it, but the GT cars further back on the grid didn’t see it, thought the race is on, and began crashing into each other. Not a pretty sight! Surprisingly nothing happened to the safety car which was on the front and caused it all.
