Finally after numerous special edition the last Lamborghini Gallardo has left the production line. The final model is a Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante finished in Rosso Mars (red) and is destined for a private collector.

The Gallardo was in production for ten years, during which a total of 14,022 units were built. The Gallardo was launched ten years ago in the year of the company’s 40th anniversary and it become soon after the most successful model in company’s history.

In Lamborghini’s first four decades, an average of just 250 Lamborghinis were built per year and in comparison in the decade of the Gallardo, production grew to volumes of around 2,000 cars per year on average.

Lamborghini is quiet about the Gallardo successor, but it will be launched next year and is reportedly called Cabrera, packing a naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine with around 600bhp.
