Lamborghini teases a successor to the Gallardo - hear the engine sound

Lamborghini has launched a new web site called HexagonProject.com, teasing a new model that is most likely successor to the Gallardo.

The microsite greets us with “LISTEN TO YOUR INSTINCT. Discover the roar of the new creature from Lamborghini. That will be just the beginning” message and when you click on the ignition button you get to hear the new model.

The last Lamborghini Gallardo rolled off the assembly line this week and the replacement known as Cabrera is expected to debut in the near future.

The all-new model is rumoured to weigh less than 1,500kg with power coming from a naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine that produces around 600bhp. The engine will be linked most likely to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission sending power to all four wheels, enabling the Cabrera to accelerate from 0-62mph in around 3.2 seconds.
