Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 revealed with rear-wheel drive & 580 hp

Following the similar formula used on the discontinued Gallardo, Lamborghini has unveiled the Huracan LP580-2 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The rear-wheel drive LP580-2 features modified bumpers, new 19-inch wheels fitted with Pirelli PZero tyres that have been specially developed for the car. These are pretty much the only visual differences.

Power comes from a detuned 5.2-litre V10 engine producing 580 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. That’s 30 hp less than the Huracan LP610-4, but the car is also lighter as the removal of the all-drive system enables the car to loose 33 kg, compared to the all-wheel drive model.

0-62mph comes in 3.4 seconds and the top speed is 198mph.

The Huracan LP580-2 also comes with a retuned suspension, an improved steering system, recalibrated stability and traction control systems.

Prices start at €150,000 making it slightly cheaper than the Huracan LP610-4 which starts at €169,500.
