Lamborghini Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo race car revealed

Following the already proven formula with the outgoing Gallardo, Lamborghini has unveiled the track-only Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo, which will debut in all three (Europe, Asia and North America) of the brand’s one-make 2015 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series.

Compared to the standard street going model the Huracan Super Trofeo features improved aerodynamics, including a wider body, ten-position rear wing, front and rear diffusers as well as adjustable front air intakes.

Different weight saving measures shave off 151kg, meaning the Huracan Super Trofeo weighs 1,271kg.

The naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine is modified to produce an extra 10bhp, raising the total to 620 PS (613bhp) with power sent to the rear axle.

All this rides on racing spec wheels fitted with Pirelli tyres engineered specifically for the LP 620-2 Super Trofeo.
