LA 2010: New Mercedes CLS 63 AMG revealed

New second generation top of the range CLS 63 AMG features the coupe like design as the standard car, with a more aggressive bodykit, wheels and a new 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 under the bonnet.

This new 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 produces 518bhp and 516 lb-ft of torque, taking this big saloon from 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds all the way to a top speed of 155 mph. With the optional AMG Performance Package power is increased to 550bhp and 590 lb-ft of torque. 60 mph is down to 4.3 seconds and the top speed is 186 mph.

All this rides on 19-inch five spoke alloys wrapped in 255/35 tyres in front and 285/30s on the back. New CLS 63 AMG will be launched next May with prices expected to start from around £80,000.
