Koenigsegg announces Agera RS and a new Regera "Megacar" for Geneva Motor Show

Last year at the Geneva Motor Show, the small Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg introduced their Agera One:1 megacar. The name megacar comes from the fact that One:1 packs 1340 metric horsepower, which is exactly one metric megawatt (1322bhp), while weighing 1,340kg.

Koenigsegg has some big news for next month’s Geneva show as they will be showing there a new Agera RS. Details are limited, but the Agera R packs already 1,200 horsepower. We can expect more power along with some aerodynamic updates.

In addition to showing a new member of the Agera family, the company has also announced a new mysterious model called Regera for Geneva debut.

Details are limited again, but they call it “megacar” hinting that the Regera will produce at least 1 megawatt (1,341 hp).

Regera is a Swedish verb meaning to “reign over or govern”.

We’ll see already next month is Regera an all-new model or based on the Agera.

Stay tuned for more details!
