Kia Provo Concept Revealed Ahead of Geneva Debut

Kia has unveiled the Mini-rivaling provo concept ahead of its public debut tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show.

The provo concept features a sleek, low, yet muscular coupe-style exterior design and is powered by a 201bhp 1.6-litre Turbo GDI engine with smart-4WD-hybrid technology from an electric motor delivering an additional 45bhp to the rear wheels when required and also allowing low-speed electric-only motion.

Kia’s first seven-speed DCT transmission completes the impressive technical package. The compact provo concept is 3.88-metres long, 1.77-metres wide and 1.35-metres tall.

The interior boasts a carbon fibre dashboard, polished aluminium footrests and pedals, large analogue dials on a digital display, centre tunnel with two control hubs and the front seat construction, which is made from a single wave-like pattern running from one door still to the other.

Kia sais there is no specific production schedule for provo on the calendar, but …the company remains committed to delivering desirable, dynamic and stunningly attractive vehicles that will deliver affordable enjoyment to real, everyday motorists. The provo could be just such a car.
