Kia pro_cee'd GT and cee'd GT Performance Specs Announced

Kia has released a new teaser and performance details for the upcoming three-door pro_cee’d GT and the five-door cee’d GT, which will go on sale in mid 2013.

The two new GT models will be powered by a new 201bhp 1.6-litre GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) petrol engine equipped with a twin-scroll turbocharger and strengthened internal components. The engine in both new GT models will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, enabling them to reach 0 to 62 mph in 7.9 seconds.

To stand out from the rest of the cee’d range, the Kia pro_cee’d GT and cee’d GT models will incorporate unique visual and under the skin features including new grilles, lamp clusters, deeper bumpers, 18-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, Recaro sports seats, alloy pedals and bespoke materials.

The chassis and suspension are also updated to match the more powerful engine.
