The Kia Naimo electric concept car takes its name from the Korean word “Ne-mo”, that means ‘square shape’. The Naimo is an electric crossover utility vehicle with simple lines and solid, muscular stance.
The Naimo has no traditional wiper blades on the windscreen – instead it employs a high-intensity air jet at the base of the windscreen that performs an ‘air wiper’ function. Door mirrors are replaced with cameras in the A-pillars.
Measuring 3,890 mm in length, it has no B-pillars and features rear-hinged rear doors to maximise easy access to the cabin.
Power comes from a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with a maximum output of 197bhp and 280 Nm of torque. No numbers were given for 0-60mph sprint, but Kia claims it has a top speed of 93mph.
Range form a full charge is 124 miles. With the quick charge, the battery can be recharged to 80 percent of its capacity within 25 minutes.
