Jaguar’s production crossover will be badged F-Pace, arrives in early 2016

Jaguar has announced the production version of the breakthrough C-X17 concept car will be called F-Pace when it arrives around this time next year.

The F-PACE name is inspired by the legendary F-TYPE, and according to Jaguar represents a perfectly judged balance of performance, style and practicality.

Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, commented: “We received such an overwhelmingly positive response to the C-X17 concept car last year that we just had to make it a reality.

The F-Pace is a five-seat crossover going mainly against the likes of Porsche Macan, Range Rover Evoque and BMW X3/X4.

The C-X17 concept debuted back in 2013 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and the production model looks to be almost identical in size and design.
