Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake revealed with 542bhp and up to 1675 litres of rear load space

Jaguar XFR-S saloon made its debut in late 2012 and last summer we saw the Estate version of this high-performance saloon, testing on the Nürburgring.

Now ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show, Jaguar has unveiled the all-new XFR-S Sportbrake with familiar exterior updates and the 542bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8 linked to an eight-speed transmission with Quickshift functionality.

0-60mph comes in 4.6 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited to 186mph.

All that power is nice, but what we really like is the added benefit of 1675 litres of rear load space when the rear seats are folded flat.

Aerodynamic changes include a deeper front bumper with new air intakes, a carbon fibre front splitter, extended side sills, rear roof spoiler and a new rear bumper with an integrated carbon fibre diffuser.

There are also new quad exhaust tips at the rear and 20-inch forged alloy wheels.

Other updates include active electronic differential and Dynamic Stability Control systems from the XFR-S Saloon.

The XFR-S Sportbrake is priced at £82,495, with full updated 2015 model year XF range available to order from 01 April.
