Jaguar F-Type R Convertible spied for the first time

Jaguar already has the F-Type R version available as a Coupe and as you can see from our latest spy shots an open top F-Type R Convertible will follow soon.

The current top of the range convertible model is the F-Type S with a 488bhp 5.0-litre V8.

The F-Type R Convertible will use the same supercharged 542bhp 5.0-litre V8 found in the coupe.

Visual changes are quite small compared to the V8 S model, showing a new lower front splitter and a bigger rear spoiler.

Prices are expected to start from around £90k.

In addition to this new R model, the F-Type is soon getting a new entry level model with a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol, that has been testing for some time now.
