coupe will make its global debut later this month at the Los Angeles and Tokyo Motor Shows.
The F-Type Coupe follows a vision of the Jaguar C-X16 concept, joining the existing F-type Roadster, winner of the 2013 ‘World Car Design of the Year’ award.
Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, said, “The excitement generated when we revealed the C-X16 concept was terrific; so to now be on the cusp of what I can assure you will be a drama-filled reveal event in Los Angeles for F-TYPE Coupe is a very significant moment.”
The coupe is essentially very similar to the roadster, except the roof line, which is longer and flows into the rear.
Engine range will start with a 335bhp supercharged 3.0-litre V6, followed by the same engine producing 375bhp in the S trim and finally top of the range model will use the 488bhp supercharged 5.0-litre V8.
An entry level 240bhp 2.0-litre turbo four and a new top of the range Porsche 911 Turbo killer with around 700bhp are also rumoured.
The F-Type Coupe will go on sale in spring 2014.
