Hyundai i20 Coupe design sketch previews a new sporty addition to the 5-door hatch

The all-new Hyundai i20 has already been revealed as a five-door hatch ahead of next month’s public debut at the Paris Motor Show.

It is not known yet will the new generation model also span a three-door hatch variant, but good news is there is going to be something even better – a three-door coupe.

The design sketch above is the first look at the new i20 coupe, which has also been designed, engineered and will be built in Europe alongside the five-door version.

As you can see the rear-end has a quite unique design compared to the five-door version, featuring a more sharply raked roofline, wrap-around rear window, unique lamp clusters and a distinctive roof spoiler.

Hyundai will be using a new designation called “N” from next year for sportier performance models, and the i20 coupe looks is likely going to be the first model to get the N version as well.
