Hennessey Ford GT runs 267.6mph at Texas Mile [videos]

Hennessey powered Ford GT has managed to set a new Texas Mile Speed record. Last year Mark Heidraker’s highly modified Ford GT reached 257.7 mph (423.7 km/h).

This past weekend this 5.7-litre V8 twin turbo race gas sucking beast reached 267.6 mph (430.66 km/h), setting a new record for the event.

This particular Ford GT by Hennessey used 117 octane racing fuel and is surprisingly fully road-legal, featuring the inspection sticker, power windows, audio system, airbags and even an air conditioning.
