First project car - some cool ideas

I have always had passion for cars from early ages, and I know I am not the only one.

I have re-built different toy cars from new paint to new engines on RC cars. As a kid I was into slot car racing and even managed to win some pretty big races, competing against grown men who had more money and better cars, but the luck was on my side and perhaps also lack of fear to fail.

When I was in high school and got my first car it was a real mess. The electronics did not work and it was a real pain to get things working. I would change different parts- from mechanical to new electronics. As it was supposed to be my daily driver I was quite mad when it decided not to work.

Later when I sold it, I thought about buying an old Beetle, to fix it up and keep it forever for my son to drive it one day.

However, I never got to it and over the year’s there have been dozens of cars I have thought, that would be great project cars.

I have circled classified ads, watched different shows about cars being restored.

I have always been a big fan of eBay Motors and have watched hundreds of auctions over the years. Now there is a really cool feature called eBay Collections, where you can create different collections and add items there you find interesting.

Make sure you check out my Cool Project Cars collection to see some of the cars I am keeping an eye on. I still have a soft spot for the Beetle, but a cool kit car/replica sounds also very interesting. A Porsche 356 Speedster would be perfect for some summer driving. Yes, I also have a a collection called ‘Summer is calling – ready for open top driving’.

It is quite fun to day dream this way or just find cool items. All you need to do is browse through items that you like and select the latest ‘Add to Collection’ feature beneath the option to buy the product. So go ahead and check it out yourself.
