Ferrari LaFerrari-based Maserati supercar rendered

Reportedly Maserati js planning a new supercar for 2015 based on the recently introduced Ferrari LaFerrari.

According to CAR magazine the Maserati’s version of LaFerrari will likely have the same chassis, suspension and electrical systems, while the two-seater will loe the hybrid tech, meaning power will come most likely from the same 6.3-litre V12 in the LaFerrari or a quad-turbo 3.8-litre V8 found in the new Quattroporte.

Since it won’t have the heavy hybrid tech it will be lighter than the Ferrari and most likely with very similar performance numbers, despite having little less power.

The above rendering is created by a talented artist Anton Gjorsev, showing how Maserati’s rumored LaFerrari-based supercar could look like when it arrives in 2015.
