F1 British GP Facts & Figures [INFOGRAPHIC]

The British Grand Prix is upon us once again at the Silverstone circuit, which hosted the first ever Formula One race back in 1950. In order to mark the occasion, price comparison website MoneySupermarket has produced a British GP infographic highlighting key facts and figures about the historic event.

Did you know for example that Silverstone has shared the title of the British Grand Prix with three other venues? One of which is a horse racing course in Liverpool.

British drivers have had remarkable success at the event over the years; with their having been a home winner on 22 separate occasions. The most successful British driver at the event has been the legendary Jim Clark who won the event five times. He shares the honour of most British GP victories with Frenchman Alain Prost.
