McLaren’s current line-up includes the sold out P1 supercar and the 650S(essentially an updated 12C).
A new entry-level McLaren, internally known as the “P13” is currently in development that will use the familiar lightweight carbon fibre MonoCell chassis, also found in the 12C/650S and P1.
Power will come from a detuned version of the company’s 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 which is expected to produce around 500bhp.
First design sketch released last year, showed us the P13 will follow a very similar design as the P1 supercar but in a more compact and affordable package.
The rendering you see above is by X-Tomi Design, showing a familiar front end design, but a different side profile compared to the 650S and P1.
The new entry-level McLaren will be priced from around £120,000. The production ready model is expected to debut next March at the Geneva Motor Show, while the concept could be shown at the Paris Motor Show in October.
A Spider version, along with a more hardcore version targeting Porsche 911 GT3 will follow later.
