DMC previews Lamborghini Aventador LP988 Edizione GT

Earlier this week DMC previewed their tuning program for the all-new Huracan.

Here are first images of their Lamborghini Aventador LP988 Edizione GT.

The images show the Aventador getting a carbon fibre front splitter, carbon fibre canards, carbon fibre rear wing, new side skirts, new aggressive rear diffuser with new exhaust tips exiting higher than on the standard car. There are also new alloy wheels wrapped with Pirelli P-Zero tyres.

What’s under the bonnet is purely speculative, but the LP988 name clearly suggest the car comes with 988 horsepower, hinting at turbocharged 6.5-litre V12.

The stock engine packs already an impressive 700 horsepower, enabling the Aventador to hit 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds, while the top speed in 217mph.

With almost 300 extra horsepower the 0-62mph time is most likely around 2.6 seconds.
