Earlier this year MG showed a CS concept, a compact SUV/crossover at the Auto Shanghai.
Now leaked design sketches have surfaced on the web showing MGs first ever production crossover that is expected to debut next April at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.
The production model looks toned down a bit compared to the concept with very similar lines and proportions.
The entry level model is expected to use a 135bhp 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol unit, while the more powerful version should get a 200bhp 2.0-litre petrol unit linked to either standard manual or optional automatic transmission. All-wheel drive will be optional also.
Other standard options include limited slip differential, a transfer case and a height-adjustable hydraulic suspension.
The new MG crossover is expected to go on sale in China next autumn and very likely will also arrive soon after in UK.
