Clio Renaultsport 200 Turbo priced from £18,995

Renault has announced pricing for the new Clio Renaultsport 200 Turbo, which starts from £18,995 for the EDC variant and £19,995 for the better equipped Lux variant.

Power comes from a 197bhp 1.6-litre tubocharged engine mated to EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch which is fully disconnectable) transmission as standard with six gears selectable via aluminium steering column-mounted paddle shifter. 0-62mph comes in 6.7 seconds – o.2 seconds faster than the outgoing model.

Other highlights include ASR traction control (in Race mode), hydraulic compression stops in shock absorbers, MacPherson front axle set-up, stiffer chassis, quicker steering rack, red brake callipers and 18-inch wheels wrapped with Dunlop Sport Maxx TT tyres.

There is also optional Cup chassis, giving 3mm lowered ride height and Renaultsport Monitor v2 on-board telemetry system, which displays real time torque, G-forces, lap times and standing starts.

Order books open 8 April and first cars will arrive in showrooms in June.
