Chevrolet Corvette - modify your own favourite generation model or build a new one

Chevrolet Corvette is now in its seventh generation with the latest Stingray model and also available in UK.

Clearly one of the most iconic US Sports cars together with the Ford Mustang, the Corvette fever started back in 1963 with a simple sports car that packed just 150 hp, but that was just the beginning.

Soon a more powerful 283 hp small-block was introduced, making it one of the first mass-produced engines in history to reach 1 hp per cubic inch. In U.S. “one hp per cubic inch” slogan was also used to market the Corvette.

My personal favourite is the first-generation model from 1958, when it received an updated body with a longer front end with quad headlamps. This iconic car has been seen in movies such as the “Rum Diary”, “True Lies” and plenty others.

In continued 60 year celebration Chevrolet UK has put together a nice interactive mini site, where you can listen to different engine sounds, read facts about each generation, lightly modify wheels, spoilers and colours.

Or head over to the online configurator to build your dream seventh-generation Corvette Stingray, that packs an impressive 460bhp from a 6.2-litre LT1 V8 engine and is priced from £62,520.
